What
is Tropico? One starts out on an island with a palace, construction office, some
farms, a dock … that’s about it. With the resources that surround you, you
must build the ultimate evil empire. If you feel like being nice, you can build
an empire that’s not evil if you wish.

homepage will shine more light on the subject. You’ll get a lot more info at
the Tropico Cafe though, they have
strategies, forums, chat rooms list goes on.
 Here’s a snap shot of a game I started (click on thumbnail for full size). It’s
not graphically intense, no aliens to shoot or things blowing up in your face. 

It’s does however have lots of great qualities that will keep you glued to your
computer for hours. You have to think (yes, think..). I like games that do
that.   

Here’s another snap shot (in a form of a clickable thumbnail). This is later
in the same game as the one above. You’ll get an idea how an island might
progress in the first 10 years or so.
